Recently, I had the pleasure of helping to throw a bridal shower for my niece, and it was such a joyous and memorable event!

One of the tasks I took on for the bridal shower was planning the food. I wanted everything to be delicious and beautifully presented. So, I decided on making these easy and delicious Turkey and Havarti Croissant Sandwiches with a simple homemade sauce. The honey mustard sauce is what truly makes this sandwich taste amazing!

These sandwiches are great for a bridal shower. They are fancy, tasty, and easy to eat while talking to guests.

The combination of tender turkey, creamy Havarti cheese, and flaky croissants is simply irresistible. Plus, you can make them ahead of time and assemble them just before serving, making them a convenient option for any party!

The turkey and Havarti croissant sandwiches were popular at the bridal shower. Many people complimented how delicious and fancy they were! Definitely consider adding these to your menu for a bridal or baby shower. They are sure to be a hit with your guests!

  • CROISSANTS
  • DELI TURKEY
  • HAVARTI
  • BABY FIELD GREENS
  • MAYONNAISE
  • MUSTARD
  • HONEY

First you need to get some full sized bakery croissants. I opted for croissants from Costco.

The price of 50 cents per croissant is great, and they taste amazing! This recipe is enough for 12 sandwiches, which is how many croissants come in a box from Costco. To have smaller servings, you can use smaller croissants or cut these in half.

Now we need to get the cheese. One of my favorite cheeses is Havarti! So, that’s what I decided to use . You can always opt for a different kind if you like. However, Havarti has a smooth buttery flavor with a little sweetness that other cheeses don’t have.

For the lettuce, I didn’t want just a regular iceberg or romaine lettuce. I used a mixture of baby greens. They’re tender and colorful, so they add to the texture and color for a better presentation. The mixture has a wonderful flavor to it too!

Now we add the bang to this sandwich, the sauce! You make a simple mixture of mayonnaise, mustard, and honey in a small bowl. Then, just spread some on the croissant tops.

It adds some creaminess to the sandwich along with some sweetness. You also have a little tang in there too! This is what truly makes the whole delicious turkey croissant sandwich come together.

Can I use other types of cheese instead of Havarti?
Yes, you can use other types of cheese if you prefer, or if Havarti is not available. Cheddar, provolone, Monterrey jack, or Swiss cheese can be delicious alternatives that pair well with turkey in croissant sandwiches.

Can I make these sandwiches ahead of time?
You can prepare the sandwiches in advance. You should assemble them just before serving. This will prevent the croissants from becoming soggy.

To get ready ahead of time, cut the croissants and stack the ingredients. Wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap or foil and keep them in the refrigerator. Add the sauce or lettuce just before serving.

Can I use leftover roasted turkey instead of deli slices?
Absolutely! Leftover roasted turkey works wonderfully in these sandwiches. Simply slice the leftover turkey thinly and use it in place of deli slices. The flavor of roasted turkey can add an extra depth to the sandwich.

Can I add other toppings or condiments to the sandwiches?
Yes, feel free to customize the sandwiches with your favorite toppings and condiments. Add a tomato slice, cucumber, lettuce, avocado, red onion, or even crispy bacon to the turkey and Havarti croissant sandwiches for extra flavor. A cranberry mayonnaise would also be wonderful to use instead of the honey mustard sauce.
