Real Mom Kitchen is an amazing food blog authored by Laura Powell. It began in April of 2008, shortly after her husband lost his job, Laura decided to start a food blog to channel her creative energy and give her a distraction from the stresses in her life. Little did she know that this hobby would turn into a way to help contribute to the family finances.
Realmomkitchen.com is where Laura is able to share her passion for cooking and food that was fostered by her mother from the time she was a young girl. She shares her experiences in the kitchen, delicious family friendly recipes that any busy mom or dad can make, and photographs of each recipe that will make you want to come back for more. Real Mom Kitchen focuses on recipes that have regular ingredients most people keep stocked in their pantry. The site includes recipes from desserts to main dishes that are sure to please.
Laura has been a busy mom herself with her 3 children that are now ages 23, 20, and 15. Not only is it hard to be a mom, but Laura has two children who have been diagnosed with learning disabilities. Her 20 year old son has ADHD and her 15 year old daughter has autism, ADHD, along with a genetic disorder called Turner Syndrome.
