I am still enjoying my grill and the whole family loved these grilled teriyaki burgers with pineapple.  I got the recipe from one of my favorite bloggers, Recipe Girl.  The beef patties for these burgers are so FULL of flavor.  I love that you add bit of pineapple to the meat itself.

You really don’t need much on this burger because it is so flavorful. I did follow Lori’s suggestion of adding a little splash of steak sauce on my burger.  It adds a little tang to the sweetness of the burger.  Then I also added a little light mayo, spinach leaves, and a slice of havarti cheese.  These grilled teriyaki burgers with pineapple are yum, yum!  Lori also didn’t say anything about grilling the pineapple, but I did.  I LOVE pineapple when it is grilled.

Here is what you need to make the

Grilled Teriyaki Burgers with Pineapple

  • CANNED OF PINEAPPLE SLICES
  • LOW-SODIUM SOY SAUCE

I think the recipe name should be, “Grilled Soy Sauce Burgers with Pineapple”; but nevertheless, it sounds great!

My family had this dish tonight and my 2 and 3 year old girls LOVED them. My husband was a little skeptic about a pineapple burger but he was blown away by how good it was. I love your recipes. They are SO consistently delicious!

We love teriyaki burgers at our house. I love using fresh pineapple. It really makes a better burger in my opinion. We also just started melting a slice of pepper jack cheese on the burger just before taking it off the grill. It is really good that way, too! I have never mixed the pineapple with the meat, though so I may have to try that soon!

Also, I used 93% lean ground turkey and they were not dry. Just don’t over cook them.

I made these the other night. However, I think they need a little kick. I think I may add chopped jalapeno next time.
OR I would make a pineapple salsa to top the burgers (with jalapeno in it).
I used red onion instead of green onion.
They were a hit.
