Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray an 8-inch round casserole dish or springform pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, then drain any excess grease. Add the taco seasoning and the water specified on the seasoning packet (usually 3/4 cup). Follow the packet directions to finish preparing the taco meat.

Once the taco meat is ready, turn off the heat and stir in 1/2 cup of salsa con queso to give the filling a creamy, cheesy boost.

Place one flour tortilla at the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Spread 1/3 of the taco meat mixture evenly over the tortilla, then sprinkle 1/3 of the shredded Mexican cheese blend on top.

Repeat this process twice: add another tortilla, followed by 1/3 of the beef mixture and 1/3 of the cheese. Finish with the last tortilla, taco meat, and cheese on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tortillas’ edges are golden brown.

Let the layered taco bake cool for a few minutes before slicing it into wedges. Serve like a taco pie with your favorite taco toppings, such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or lettuce. This recipe serves 4-6 people, making it perfect for a quick and easy dinner! Enjoy this fun twist on taco night!

Can I add extra ingredients to the taco bake?
Absolutely! You can customize this recipe by adding ingredients like black beans, corn, diced onions, or bell peppers to the taco meat mixture. This will add flavor and texture to the dish.

How do I store leftovers?

What toppings go well with this taco bake?
