Special K Treats and The Ultimate Super Bowl Party Recipe Smack Down
These Special K treats are a quick and easy treat that I like to make my kids. It makes a great after school snack. I got this recipe from a friend years ago. It kind of has the flavor of a rice crispy treat with a caramel twist. Yummy!
I am also entering this recipe for The Ultimate Super Bowl Party Recipe Smack Down contest on Recipe Girl. That’s your super bowl dessert. I am also entering the recipes that I have on here for Crock Pot Southwestern Chicken Nachos and Slow Cooker Beef Fajitas. Now are you ready for some football? Personally I can do without the football, but I love the food!
Here is what you need to make the
Special K Treats
- MARGARINE (I USE BUTTER)
- SUGAR
- BROWN SUGAR
- MINIATURE MARSHMALLOWS
- SPECIAL K CEREAL (CAN ALSO USE CORNFLAKES)

Has anyone tried these without the sugar and brown sugar? Like rice Krispy treats?
Hey! This post could not be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my previous room mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this write-up to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing!
I love these, it is great to add some mixed nuts in them to for a little variety!
Looks yummy! One question, how much exactly is a “square” of butter? Is that a Tablespoon?
These look good! I have made them before but instead of special K, I used Cheerios.
I love Special K Treats and I haven’tmade them in along time. I hope you win the contest!
I like the idea of using brown sugar! I left you some awards on my blog!
