This lovely recipe takes cinnamon rolls and crescent rolls and combines them together to make quick cinnamon crescent rolls. Plus, I think these taste better than their counterpart – cinnamon rolls in a tube. They take a little more work, but are well worth it in my opinion. The flaky crescent dough is what makes the difference!
There is a simple filling made by mixing some sugar and cinnamon with softened butter to make a paste. The paste is the spread over each triangle of crescent dough. You roll up each crescent of place them on a greased or parchment lined baking sheet with the tip side down. I like using the parchment paper for easy clean up.
These bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Once the rolls are done you remove them from the oven. While they cool for a minute, you mix up a simple glaze made from milk, powdered sugar and vanilla. Drizzle the icing over the rolls. I then like to give the quick cinnamon crescent rolls a few minutes for the glaze to set before serving.
