Now, I like to use an apple slicing tool to get the perfectly proportioned apple slices for dipping. A regular apple slicers portions the apple into 8 slices. This slicer portions the apple into 16 slices. I think this makes the slices are the perfect size.

Once you have those perfect apple slices, you want to make sure they don’t turn brown. My favorite method is using lemon-lime soda. I have found it works well and doesn’t affect the flavor of the apple. I just buy the inexpensive store brand of lemon lime soda. Then soak the slices in the soda for 10 minutes and then drain.

Now, this recipe is also tasty with other fruit besides apples. It is also excellent to serve with strawberries and banans too! If it tastes good with caramel, then it will taste good with this dip.
