We are nearing completion of the best of 2023 posts. Today is the best desserts of 2023. This list of dessert recipes includes two pie recipes and two cookie bar recipes.

First for the best desserts of 2023 is peach pie. My mom makes the best homemade fresh peach pie recipe!

Really, I have tasted other versions of peach pies and my moms is the best fresh peach pie I have ever had! She says that she thinks what makes it so good is it includes orange juice in the recipe. I have to agree! I even just use store bought pie crust for this.
Now, I originally posted this recipe in 2012, but gave it a photo update this year. When fresh peaches are in season, you must make this if you haven’t yet.

My second recipe is a chocolate peanut butter pie. If you are a peanut butter and chocolate fan or a cheesecake fan, you’re gonna love a slice of this pie.
This recipe is simple, easy, and delicious. I must warn you it is quite rich.
I would recommend cutting your pie into at least 8 pieces. Drizzle some chocolate syrup on top or chocolate ganache. The ganache is my preference.

My next pick is these amazing caramelita bars.
These gooey caramel bars are the perfect combination of chocolate and caramel surrounded with a chewy oatmeal cookie base. These treats will not disappoint!
Baked to perfection, these caramel and chocolate bars boast a perfect harmony of textures and flavors—chewy, buttery, sweet, and oaty all in one bite. This recipe creates an irresistible dessert with layers that will have everyone coming back for more.

The last recipe is for the best chocolate chip cookie bars. These absolutely are the best chocolate chip cookie bars I have ever made. Several things help make these bars so incredibly amazing.
First, this classic dessert recipe uses all butter for the batter. Butter truly gives cookies the best flavor.
The next key factor to the best chocolate chip cookie bars is the cookie recipe uses both regular sugar and brown sugar. White sugar adds crispness. Brown sugar adds moistness.
Next, key factor is you need to mix the sugar and butter with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. This makes the butter and sugar a fluffy texture resulting in a light cookie.
Last key to the dough for these bars is a combination of mini chocolate chips and regular sized chocolate chips. Oh, and don’t forget this cookie includes a secret ingredient. Head over to the recipe to learn what it is. So much easier to make that chocolate chip cookies. No scooping required here!
