Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Alternatively, you can place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.

Using a serrated bread knife, carefully slice through the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, ensuring that the rolls stay connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls, cut side up, in the prepared baking pan.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in garlic powder, Montreal steak seasoning, and Italian seasoning to create a flavorful butter mixture. Once melted, generously brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.

Place the assembled sliders in the oven and bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown on top.

Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm, enjoying the delicious combination of pesto, turkey, tomatoes, and gooey melted cheese!

Can I use a different type of cheese instead of mozzarella?
Absolutely! While mozzarella melts beautifully, you can swap it for others like provolone cheese, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, or even pepper jack cheese for a bit of spice. Choose a cheese that melts well to get that delicious, gooey texture.

Can I make these sliders ahead of time?
Yes, you can assemble the sliders a few hours ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator, covered, until you’re ready to bake. When it’s time to serve, pop them in the oven and bake as directed. You may need to add a couple of extra minutes to the baking time since they will be cold from the fridge.

Can I use a different type of bread?
While Hawaiian rolls are great for their size and texture, you can use other types of bread, like slider buns, dinner rolls, or even ciabatta. Make sure the bread you choose is sturdy enough to hold the filling and doesn’t become too soggy.

What can I serve with these sliders?
These turkey pesto sliders pair well with various sides, such as chips, salad, roasted vegetables, or a bowl of soup. They are versatile and can be served as a main dish or appetizer.
