Strawberry Salsa with Video

My kids love chips and salsa. They are often found munching on them as an afternoon snack. I always have chips and salsa in my home and I can feel good about my kids using them as a snack.
You can even make own fresh salsa. It is so easy to make and tastes amazing. If you can chop, then you can make homemade salsa. Get everyone helping with the chopping it it can come together in no time. However, salsa just doesn’t have to be tomato based and veggies only. Think about using fruit. You can go completely sweet with a fruit salsa or you can even do savory.

Today, I have a strawberry salsa (with video) recipe for you where you basically replace the tomatoes with strawberries. It is a delicious surprise. It is the perfect summer side or awesome snack. Just think about sitting pool side snacking on this refreshing salsa. It munching on it at your next BBQ.
Turn this into more of a dessert type salsa too but by changing it up and serving with cinnamon chips. You can make them yourself, or I have even seen them ready to go on the chip isle at the grocery store.

Ingredients
- 15-20 strawberries diced small
- ⅓ red onion finely diced
- ¼ cup chopped cilantro
- 1 finely diced jalapeno seeds removed
- juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients until well blended. Serve with tortilla chips.
