I love the month of August because to me it means peaches! This is when I can start buying Utah peaches at my local farmer’s market!
My whole family looks forward to peach season each summer. I usually buy a whole box. We eat a big portion for breakfast but then I also use them in tasty recipes like the one I am going to share with you today!
This recipe comes from Chef Antonia Lofaso who has teamed up with to create 5 fun, family-friendly recipes featuring Breyers Natural Vanilla.
Of course, I was drawn to the peach recipe and it comes together in no time. I just picked up some pound cake from my local grocer’s bakery along with 2 peaches, basil, and Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream. Then I only need a little sugar and lemon juice to complete the recipe and I had those items already at home.
I like Breyers® ice cream because they are committed to using high quality ingredients. Breyers Natural Vanilla is made with fresh cream, sugar and milk, and sustainably farmed Rainforest Alliance Certified™ vanilla beans.
Breyers®Natural Vanilla is America’s No. 1 vanilla ice cream, and parents now have additional reasons to feel good about serving it to their family. Breyers® now sources milk and cream from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones*.
This ice cream was a perfect ingredient in this pound cake & peaches sundae recipe. I toasted the pound cake which added some great texture to the sundae. Basil always pairs so well with fruit and was amazing with the peaches! This was a nice summer treat for my family.
