Homemade Tartar Sauce Recipe

by Laura

It is easy to grab some frozen fish from the store to serve up for dinner. If you are going to go for frozen fish for dinner, you really should make your own homemade tartar sauce recipe instead of grabbing a bottle of prepared tartar sauce from the store.

You don’t need many ingredients to make your own homemade tartar sauce. It tastes way better than the prepared stuff from the store. The key to your own tartar sauce is the fresh dill! It tastes amazing. Dried dill just does not give you the same flavor as fresh dill.

Then you also use diced dill pickles. I like dicing up my own dill pickle. I usually have dill spears in the fridge I can dice up. However, if you want to make it even easier to put together, you can use some dill relish. No chopping required if you use that. My family doesn’t enjoy the big chunks of pickles like I do. They prefer the small dill pickle pieces of the relish.
