I’ve got a delicious twist on the classic chicken salad sandwich that you’ll love! It’s some tasty Grilled Chicken Salad Wraps! Instead of serving the chicken salad between slices of bread, I rolled it up in a soft flour tortilla to create a wrap packed with all the familiar flavors you enjoy.

But I didn’t stop there—I took it to the next level by pressing it in a panini maker, giving it a perfectly crispy, golden exterior on both sides. The result is a grilled chicken salad wrap that’s warm, crunchy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. It’s a fresh take on a favorite that’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a quick snack!

Grilled Chicken Salad Wraps

This chicken salad has a unique twist with one ingredient that you don’t usually find in traditional chicken salad—shredded cheese. The cheese not only adds a delightful creaminess but also brings a rich, savory flavor that perfectly complements the other ingredients.

It’s an unexpected touch that elevates the classic chicken salad, making it even more delicious and satisfying. Whether you’re a fan of sharp cheddar, mozzarella, or something more adventurous, the cheese melts slightly as you grill the wrap, creating a warm, gooey center that takes this dish to the next level.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chopped cilantro, green onions, diced celery, shredded carrots, and sour cream. Stir until everything is well mixed and evenly coated.

Add the cooked, shredded chicken to the bowl with the mixture. Stir until the chicken is fully coated with the creamy dressing. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Wraps

Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon the chicken salad mixture onto the center third of the tortilla, spreading it evenly down the middle. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top of the chicken salad for an extra layer of flavor.

Roll the tortilla burrito-style by folding in the sides, then rolling it up tightly from the bottom. Place the wrap seam-side down on a plate or tray. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas until all the wraps are assembled.

Grill the Wraps

Preheat your panini press or grill pan on medium heat. Once heated, place each wrap in the panini press, seam-side down. Cook until both sides are crispy and golden brown, with the cheese melted inside. If using a grill pan, press down on the wraps with a heavy object, such as a cast-iron skillet, to achieve similar results.

After grilling, remove each wrap from the panini press. Lightly coat the outside of each wrap with cooking spray, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper for added flavor and crunch. Slice in half if desired, and serve immediately while they’re warm and crispy. Enjoy your delicious grilled chicken salad wraps!
