The Super Bowl is a big deal for the men in my house. It’s also a big day for the girls but for a different reason. My daughter and I are all about the food when it comes to the game day celebration. The guys can watch the game, but you will find us in the kitchen where the real show is – the amazing game-day grub like these fudgy football brownies.

To get ready for the big day, my daughter and I did a test run of these brownies. They are so easy to put together using Pillsbury boxed brownie mix and frosting. I recently went to my local Walmart to stock up on Pillsbury Brownie Mixes and Frostings. I love having these products in your pantry because they are inexpensive and great time savers. It also simplifies cooking with my kids.

Baking is a great way to spend time with family. It is a great way to teach them skills for when they are on their own, and it creates memorable moments and memories. The J.M Smucker Company recently asked me to make some unique tips for using their products, and I wanted to share with you what I came up with.

These football brownies are just a fun to mix up a moment from the usual brownie. My daughter loved them and can’t wait to make them again. Then men loved eating them, too. They will be the perfect complement to our Game Day celebration.

You won’t need to use all the frosting to top the brownies, but I am sure you can find something else to do with what is left. We love to spread it in between graham crackers.

Be sure to come back as we get closer to Valentine’s Day! I will be sharing another tasty recipe using my other Pillsbury products in my pantry. Plus, find even more ways to #MixUpAMoment by going to the Pillsbury Pinterest page. How will you #MixUpAMoment for your Game Day?

Preheat & Prep: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). While your oven is warming up, prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions, using the oil, water, and eggs. Mix together in a large bowl.

Line the Pan: Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with foil. This will make it easier to remove the brownies later. Give the foil a light spray of non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Spread the batter into the pan.

Bake to Perfection: Bake the brownies in the prepared pan according to the package directions. Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool completely on a wire rack.

Shape Those Footballs: Carefully remove the brownies from the pan using the foil. Cut the brownies into 9 squares. Now comes the fun part: Cut off the corners of each square to create a football shape! Don’t worry about the scraps – they’re perfect for snacking on or using in other treats like parfaits.

Frosting Fun: It’s time to decorate! Using a piping bag, pipe chocolate frosting onto each brownie in a zig-zag pattern. I like to use a star tip for a fun effect. Then, pipe on white frosting to create the football laces.

Can I use a different type of brownie mix?
Yes, you can! While a standard chocolate brownie mix works well, you can also use other flavors like fudge brownie mix or even gluten-free options.

Can I use homemade frosting instead of store bought?
Absolutely! Feel free to make your chocolate and white frosting for the brownies.

How can I make the brownies extra fudgy?
Use a good quality brownie mix: Look for a mix that emphasizes fudgy texture.
Underbake slightly: Bake the brownies for a minute or two less than the package directions to keep them moist and fudgy.

Can I make these brownies ahead of time?
Yes, you can bake the brownies ahead of time. Let them cool completely and store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Frost them just before serving.

Can I make these brownies gluten-free?
Yes, you can use a gluten-free brownie mix to make these brownies gluten-free.

How do I store leftover brownies?
Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days.

Enjoy! These Fudgy Football Brownies are the perfect sweet treat for your Super Bowl party. They’re easy to make, fun to decorate, and guaranteed to be a touchdown with your guests!
