Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders

If you’re looking for a quick, crowd-pleasing dinner or a fun party snack, these Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders are about to become your new go-to. They come together in no time thanks to a few smart shortcuts—starting with crispy chicken bites and soft Hawaiian rolls that make assembly a breeze. I love using the Bare or Kirkland brand chicken bites because they have just the right amount of light breading to mimic that classic chicken parmesan texture without the fuss of frying. They’re flavorful, tender, and perfect for layering.

The real magic happens when you tuck those golden chicken bites into King’s Hawaiian rolls, which add a subtle sweetness that pairs beautifully with the savory chicken, zesty marinara sauce, and melty provolone and mozzarella cheese. Each bite is a perfect balance of soft, crispy, cheesy, and saucy—basically everything you want in a slider. Feel free to use other slider rolls too. When I made these for the photo, I actually used some brioche slider buns I grabbed from Sam’s Club.

To finish things off, I brush the tops with a parmesan garlic butter that infuses the rolls with rich, garlicky goodness and gives them a golden, flavorful crust once baked. A quick trip to the oven melts everything together and warms the rolls just enough to make them irresistible. These sliders are simple to make, but they feel special—and they’re guaranteed to disappear fast!

Start by preparing your chicken bites according to the package directions. While the chicken is cooking, whip up the Parmesan garlic butter. Melt butter and stir in grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and a pinch of Italian seasoning. Set it aside—you’ll use it to brush the tops of the rolls for that irresistible golden finish.

Next, grab a serrated knife and carefully slice your King’s Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected for easy assembly. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet and layer with provolone cheese slices, covering the surface evenly.

Once the chicken bites are ready, place one piece on top of each roll, right over the cheese. Spoon a little marinara sauce over each chicken bite, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella for that gooey, melty finish.

Place the top half of the rolls back on, then brush generously with the melted butter mixture. Cover the sliders loosely with foil and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes, just until everything is heated through and the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 3–5 minutes to let the tops turn golden and slightly crisp.

Serve warm and watch them disappear—this recipe makes about 4 main dish servings, but you might want to double it if you’re feeding a crowd!

Can I use homemade chicken instead of store-bought bites?
Definitely! If you have leftover breaded chicken or want to make your own, just cut it into slider-sized pieces. Homemade chicken cutlets or tenders work beautifully and add a personal touch.

What kind of marinara sauce works best?
Any store-bought marinara will do, but if you have a favorite homemade version, go for it! Look for one that’s rich and slightly sweet to complement the Hawaiian rolls.

Can I prep these sliders ahead of time?
Yes! You can assemble everything (except the butter topping) a few hours ahead and refrigerate. When you’re ready to bake, brush with the butter mixture and pop them in the oven.

Do I need to toast the rolls before assembling?
Nope! The rolls toast beautifully in the oven once brushed with the garlic parmesan butter. No pre-toasting needed.

What cheese can I use if I don’t have provolone?
Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or even a mild cheddar will work. Provolone adds that classic chicken parm flavor, but feel free to use what you have on hand.

How do I keep the sliders from getting soggy?
Make sure the chicken is fully cooked and not overly moist before assembling. Also, don’t overdo the marinara—just a spoonful per slider is plenty.
