These crunchy southwest chicken wraps are a perfect meal for summer, providing a refreshing and satisfying option when you want something quick and delicious. Just grab an already-cooked rotisserie chicken from the store, and you’re all set—no need to cook and heat up the kitchen, making it an ideal choice for those hot days.

These wraps feature a creamy, flavorful sauce that ties everything together beautifully. The sauce is a simple mixture of sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning. For the best results, prepare the sauce a little ahead of time and place it in the fridge to let the flavors meld together, enhancing the overall taste of the wrap.

The wrap itself is packed with a variety of tasty ingredients. It includes cooked chicken, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, crushed Frito chips for an extra crunch, and either guacamole or diced avocado. I personally prefer using guacamole for its creamy texture and rich flavor.

Rotisserie chicken not only adds convenience but also ensures that the chicken is tender and flavorful, saving you time and effort in the kitchen. However, grilled chicken is another option.

These wraps are a delightful combination of textures and flavors, making them a hit for any meal, whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a quick snack on the go.

Now, you are going to take some large flour tortillas to wrap all of these delicious ingredients. The size of the tortilla is essential because you need enough room to hold all the fillings without them spilling out. Start by placing your diced avocado or spreading a generous layer of guacamole in the center of the tortilla.

Next, add a portion of the cooked chicken on top of the avocado. You can use either shredded or diced chicken, depending on your preference. Follow this with a sprinkle of shredded cheese. Then, add the diced tomatoes, which bring a burst of freshness and color to the wrap.

Drizzle the entire filling with some of that mouthwatering creamy sauce you prepared earlier. This sauce adds a tangy and spicy kick that ties all the ingredients together. Finally, top everything with a handful of crushed Fritos and a generous amount of shredded lettuce.

The Fritos add an irresistible crunch and a salty, savory flavor that elevates the wrap to a new level of deliciousness, while the shredded lettuce provides a refreshing, crisp texture.

To finish, roll up the tortilla burrito-style, ensuring all the ingredients are securely enclosed. This method not only makes the wrap easy to handle and eat but also allows you to enjoy all the different flavors and textures in every bite.

I love the combination of flavors in this wrap—the tender chicken, creamy avocado, soft cheese, and tangy sauce, all complemented by the crunch and savory taste of the Fritos. It’s a perfect balance of freshness, creaminess, and crunchiness, making it a satisfying and delightful meal.

Can I use a different type of tortilla?
Yes, you can use whole wheat tortillas, spinach tortillas, or any other type of tortilla you prefer. Choose one that is large enough to hold all the fillings.

Can I make these wraps ahead of time?
While it’s best to assemble the wraps just before serving to keep the ingredients fresh and the Fritos crunchy, you can prepare the individual components ahead of time. Store the prepared ingredients in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator and assemble the wraps when ready to eat.

What other vegetables can I add to the wrap?
To enhance the wrap’s texture and flavor, you can add a variety of veggies, such as bell peppers, corn, black beans, green onions, fresh cilantro, or cucumbers.

Can I use a different type of cheese?
Yes, you can use any type of cheese you like. Monterey Jack or a Mexican cheese blend also works well for this recipe.
