Change up your grilled hot dogs by turning them into a big mac hot dogs! All you need is a recipe for the secret sauce and the right toppings to elevate your 4th of July cook out.

So the original big mac is two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. Now to get that true big mac experience you need a toasted bun. Do this however you like. However, it isn’t necessary, but will give you that authentic big mac flavor.

Instead of the beef patties, you use all beef hot dogs. You can cook them however you like. I personally love mine cooked on the grill. I love the flavor you get from cooking them on the grill.

Now for the special sauce, it’s really simple to put together. You need some light mayonnaise and combine it with some ketchup, mustard, dill pickle relish, garlic powder, onion powder, and vinegar.

To assemble these hot dogs, you place some shredded lettuce in the bun and top with a slice of American cheese that is cut in half. Then place the hot dog on the cheese. Place a few pickles on each side or the hot dog. Then drizzle with the special sauce. I did not include onions with the recipe because my family doesn’t like it. However, you can add some finely mince onion on top if you’d like.
