Amazing Grilled Burgers

Every year, I try to enjoy as much grilling weather as I can. So I have been soaking up every opportunity I can. Get ready to take advantage of that great grilling weather with these amazing grilled burgers. They are burger perfection.

These burger patties are filled with so much flavor. There are several ingredients that you mix into these amazing grilled burgers to give it it’s amazing flavor.

  • GROUND BEEF
  • ONION POWDER
  • SALT
  • PEPPER
  • DRIED BASIL
  • TERIYAKI SAUCE
  • ITALIAN SEASONED BREAD CRUMBS
  • GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE
  • EGG
  • AMERICAN CHEESE SLICES
  • HAMBURGER BUNS

Now, first thing you need to make a great burger is to use the right ground beef. You want to use an 80/20 ground beef. You want a high fat content to get a nice juicy burger.

Now once you have that ground beef, you mix in some onion powder, salt, pepper, dried basil, teriyaki sauce, Italian bread crumbs grated Parmesan cheese, and an egg. The original recipe didn’t include an egg. However, I found it is needed to make the patties stick together with all those added ingredients.

Once you have you meat mixture all combined, it’s time to shape the patties. You can free form them by hand. However, I love to use a patty maker. They help make them all consistent in shape and size. This helps them all cook the same on the grill too!

If you don’t need all of the patties, just place waxed paper or parchment paper in between them and place them in a freezer bag to freeze for later. Now, I love these on the grill but you can always cook them inside in a skillet too.

Once you get those patties cooked, top them with a slice of American cheese and stay on the grill for a minute to make that cheese nice and melty. Serve this up on buns with your favorite burger toppings. This recipe will definitely elevate your grilling game!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion powder, salt, pepper, dried basil, teriyaki sauce, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, and egg.
  • Divide mixture into 6 equal portions (you use a kitchen scale for this). Then shape each portion into a patty.
  • Grill to desired doneness. Top with American cheese, cook for a minute, until cheese is melted.
  • Serve on hamburger buns with desired toppings. Serves 6.
