Walk for Autism

I am replacing today’s fab five with an extra special post.  Two weeks from today my family will be participating in our local walk for autism.

For those of you who don’t know, my daughter has a genetic disorder called Turner Syndrome.  Girls who have Tuner’s Syndrome can have an autism spectrum disorder called non-verbal learning disorder. My daughter was diagnosed with at the age of three.  If you want to read more, you can check out my other blog called Day 2 Day with Sassy.

Autism is had but also so rewarding. We love her just the way she is. We aren’t sure what lies ahead for her, but we are going to do everything we possibly can to help her to learn and develop. Reading and math are both things she is struggling with in addition to the social aspect that comes with Autism.

My husband designed these fun shirts for our team to wear for the walk for autism. Then, my brother-in-laws business donated the cost of the shirts.  I loved how they turned out, especially love the pink camo.

  1. So sorry your daughter has turner syndrome and autism. Your husband did good on the design of the shirts… well done. Very cool of your brother in law to donate money for the shirts. Sorry I can’t donate, I’ve been out of work for 14 months. Take care.
