  4. I really love Velveeta, but to be honest, I don't think I've had it since I was a kid. I would really like to try it again and let my kids enjoy it also!

  5. I love love love Velveeta mixed with Rotel and onions for a nacho dip. It is smooth and tasty! Warms me from the inside out in this cold weather we have. There is nothing better than good ole Velveeta!

  6. I love Velveeta because there just isn't anything like it for recipes like Velveeta Chili Dip. I love that recipe & several others where it is combined with just a few other ingredients and melts into a creamy, delicious dip in the slow cooker.

  7. I love that Velveeta cheese melts quickly with no lumps! and it is so smooth and creamy. It is great in potato cheese soup and dips.

  8. I have never used velveeta because I always go with the cheaper version. But, I would love a free one.. maybe that will convince me of spending a little more and buy it!

  9. I grew up in Texas, and every Sunday in the fall, my mother would make a batch of "hot cheese dip" with Velveeta and a can of Rotel tomatoes. We would watch the Dallas Cowboys and eat that dip with tortilla chips. Now, raising my family in Utah, I still turn to Velveeta when I want warm, comfort food. I love making the dip with Velveeta and diced tomotoes with chipotle peppers (instead of the regular green chiles). It gives a rich, smoky flavor. But sometimes I go back to the old standby of Rotel. Next time I have some leftover homemade chili, I will try mixing it with Velveeta for a dip. Thanks for the tip!

  10. I think I've had Velveeta maybe one time in my life…

I want to try making the dip or maybe some mac n cheese!

  11. Mmm, I love how easy Velveeta cheese is to melt and how creamy it make dips. I like to melt it with a can of rotel and dip tortilla chips in it. I also use it as a topper for chicken enchiladas. Yummy!

  12. Velveeta makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches. I have a chicken dip that uses velveeta that is wonderful.

  13. I love this recipe! I make it a lot for football parties and other "snacky/appetizer-y" parties 🙂 I love Velveeta because it's so creamy and delicious! I'm a huge fan of cheese, and Velveeta is simply the best for melting, dipping and for altogether creaminess and deliciousness, yum!

  14. I've only used Velveeta a few times when a recipe has called for it because I am never exactly sure how to incoporate it into my cooking.

But this is what I have to say about the few times I have used it:

    YUMMO!

  15. That chili dip recipe is my favorite to use Velveeta in. I may try a commentors suggestion to add a can of chilis.

  16. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this, but we use Velveeta in my husband's Apple Casserole recipe. The Velveeta makes it very easy to have that sharp cheese taste melt right in with the apples. SO yummy!

  17. My DH and I love Velveeta. It just melts so smoothly unlike most cheeses. e just got hte Kraftfoods magazine and tried almost all of the recipes that call for Velveeta and they were delicious. We used to buy a big block of it for a recipe and not finish it. With the new recipes I got from Kraft we will never waste Velveeta again.

  18. Velveeta makes the best broccoli cheese soup! I use regular grated cheddar cheese in the recipe, too, but the addition of Velveeta makes it very creamy & smooth!

  19. I love Velveeta mainly because of it's fantastic for quick HOT dips. I usually make the Chili Dip at least two or three times for a group of our friends for a last minute casual get together at our house=)
    Super giveaway, Thanks bunches!

  20. i am always ashamed to admit this, but i love their dip recipe that is made by combining 16oz velveeta, 4 oz. cream cheese, 10 oz. chopped spinache, 8 slices cooked and crumbled bacon and a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. stick it all in the micro and zap it until it's all melty ooey and gooey! alarmingly good and addictive. i like to throw in some chipotles too every now and then

  21. One of my kids' favorite sandwiches is one we call "Nana Cheese Sandwiches" because that's what their Nana makes! Grilled cheese sandwiches using Velveeta cheese- easy to melt and makes a great grilled cheese!

  22. I love Velveeta because it is convenient. We often invite people over on the spur of the moment and it is always easy to whip up this very recipe (velveeta and chili) to serve for a snack while we visit, watch a football game or play games with each other.

  23. I love making the dip that you posted. It is a favorite of my family. I love Velveeta Cheese because of the way it melts.

  24. This IS a great tasting dip that is so easy to make!

My first experience was using Velveeta mixed in with garlic powder to use as *ahem* fish bait…worked great every time!

I would love to use Velveeta in a cheese soup recipe…

  25. I've eaten it plenty of times, but I've never actually cooked with it. Well wait, one time I did. I made Paula Deen's fudge for my daughter's xmas gift to her teacher. Easy peasy.

  26. Interesting. How nice that you were picked as an "ambassador" :).

I don't purchase it, but I suppose it would make a nice dip, or melt it on tortilla chips.

  27. This looks really yummy. I am hosting a Halloween party at my house for my family and friends. This dish looks really simple to make. I wonder how it would taste if you added a little cream chesse in it as well. Thanks for sharing.

  28. The dip is amazing! When we have it, I also throw in a can of diced green chilies.

I love Velveeta because of it's melting factor.

  29. Laura–

I've been following your blog for a while now via google reader. I have used tons of your recipes and have loved getting to step into your kitchen via your blog. Thank you for all of your great recipes!

I have noticed, however, that for that last day or so (did it start yesterday? The day before? I'm not sure) your blog is no longer full feed. Meaning I can't read the whole post in google reader. Did you do this on purpose? I hope not. Please, pretty please, will you make it full feed again?? I would much appreciate it.

    Thanks!

    Carly

  30. I love using Velveeta in dips.. My favorite is to cook up some sausage, rotel, onion, jalapenos, and velveeta and serve it with tortilla chips. There is seriously nothing better!
