Turketarian

Butterball has recently launched a new program!  It’s called Turketarian – and it celebrates turkey lovers everywhere. You can visit the facebook app to find out what kind of Turketarian you are and get a printable coupon. I took it and found out that I am a “Flavor Fan Turketarian” which means delicious flavor is what I crave and turkey hits the mark!

I recently adapted a recipe for a delicious autumn turkey sandwich that I found on the Butterball website. It has some of the flavors that I enjoy from one of my favorite sandwich shops. The recipe uses dried cranberries, but I think it would also be yummy with whole cranberry sauce!

Plus, the the turketarian giveaway Butterball has provided a $25 gift card for one lucky RMK reader to purchase Butterball products and test out some of their new recipes just like this Autumn turkey sandwich. To enter the giveaway, see the rafflecopter widget below!

I like turkey — and would eat it more often … if the others in this household could deal with that 😀

I love turkey! I love to eat turkey slices straight out of the package, and add some string cheese to make a healthy, hunger-fighting snack. I use ground turkey instead of beef to make yummy soups and dinners.

My favorite turkey recipe is a after Thanksgiving sandwich.

Toasted Multi-Grain bread, Sausage stuffing, Whole-berry cranberry sauce and maybe a small amount of mayo… Lets not forget a good sized bit of turkey on top too! .

A turkey sandwich the day (and a few more) after thanksgiving is the best. On white bread with all the other leftover fixings piled on — the best.

I’ve tried turkey meatloaf from a blog recipe before and loved it. It’s also fun to mix things up a little and use ground turkey instead of ground beef.
