Pina Colada Fruit Dip

We recently had some friends over for a bbq.  Part of my menu included some fresh fruit.  I wanted to whip together a dip but life had been crazy and I had not planned anything specific.  So I looked around my house to see what I could find and I ended up creating this yummy fruit dip with a tropical flair.  This Pina Colada Fruit Dip was so yummy I had to share with all of you.

You just need 4 ingredients to make this simple fruit dip. You need a package of coconut cream instant pudding mix. You are going to mix that pudding mix with some milk and Cool Whip. Then you are also going to mix in some crushed pineapple. You don’t need to drain the pineapple because you want that juice in there to mix with the pudding mix and give it even more pineapple flavor to this pina colada fruit dip. It also helps give it the right consistency. WE enjoyed the dip with strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, and grapes.

  10. I make similar dips all the time and it works best if you mix up the pudding, milk and pineapple first and then fold in the cool whip – otherwise you over mix the coolwhip and it gets runny.

  11. Thanks for the share! I found this via Pinterest and made it for my mommy bunco tonight. I was wondering – is it supposed to be kind of soupy/runny? It’s been in the fridge for about 4 hours and didn’t set up the way I thought it would…
    It tastes SO good, though!!!

    1. I also found this in Pinterest and couldn’t get it to thicken up. I thought maybe I did something wrong. Another response says to fold in the cool whip… I think I’ll try that next time (and there will be a next time- it was Delicious!!)

  13. I think when I make this I will substitute real whipping cream. I don’t like cool whip. Too greasy. Real whipping cream rocks!!

  14. I love Pina Colada flavored treats! Can’t wait to try this! This is perfect for summer!

  15. nummers. We are having a bbq on Sunday and I was assigned potato salad but I think I will take this also, with the fresh fruit. The kids will go nuts.
