Overnight Pull Aparts

Last year I shared with you the recipe I make every Christmas morning – Overnight Pull Aparts.  It is very similar to what is known as Monkey Bread.  The original recipe was a cinnamon version but I adapted the recipe to make an orange version, which is what I always make.

This year I decided to try to adapt the recipe to create a chocolate version and a coconut pecan version.  My husband really enjoyed the chocolate version.  He said it reminded him of Oreo cookies.  You can also garnish the finished product with maraschino cherries cut in half.  I preferred the coconut pecan version.  However, our favorite is still the orange version.  Plus, oranges always remind me of Christmas.  We always get an orange in the toe of our stocking.

Whichever version of the overnight pull aparts you try, it is ridiculously easy and you will impress everyone. The beauty of this recipe is you put it together the night before in a bundt pan. Then, when you get up in the morning it’s already to put in the oven while you open presents. I serve it with a glass of milk, juice, or hot chocolate. This would also be a wonderful addition to any brunch.  If the chocolate version doesn’t strike your fancy just follow the link for the cinnamon or orange version.  The cinnamon instructions are at the bottom of the post.

  1. I love the variety of different kinds! I’ve only tried the standard cinnamon kind, and a savory kind. The orange sounds amazing (because well, orange rolls are amazing!)
