Italian Grilled Cheese

One day, I was wanting something quick and easy to have along side and Italian dish. So, I came up with this Italian grilled cheese. I’m sure I’m not the only one to ever think of this. It’s basically a grilled cheese sandwich with an Italian twist.
It’s great to serve along side any Italian pasta dish or Italian soup. I love to make it in my sandwich maker, but a good old frying pan will do just fine. It also pairs well with tomato soup.
All you need is some garlic spread, bread, and shredded mozzarella cheese. I use butter with Johnny’s garlic spread and seasoning mix to make my garlic spread. I pick it up from either Sam’s or Costco. Then I just mix it with butter according to the instructions on the bottle. You can also use Chef Shammy’s garlic butter of mix up your own using my recipe for easy garlic spread.
I also recommend you use the shredded mozzarella cheese to make this. It just melts better. However, you can totally used sliced mozzarella if you have it. It will still work fine. Then just make this a regular grilled cheese using the garlic butter on the out side of the bread and the mozzarella in between the bread. I do like to use my sandwich make when I make these, but is isn’t necessary. A good old frying pan works just fine.
