Homemade Icees and McD’s Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

I have been having fun using my Cusinart ice cream maker and made some homemade frozen treats with it.  You can make homemade icees with any soda pop and I also made a copy cat version of McD’s frozen strawberry lemonade.  My family tried the McDonald’s Version and said they liked mine better.

  3. Because of your post I decided to buy an ice cream maker from W&S! However I think that it is 2 quarts and not 1 1/2–how (or would I) change the measurements for that?

  5. I have a Cuisinart icecream maker and haven’t used it much. When you say 20 minutes, do you mean run it like you are making icecream for 20 minutes?

  6. Oh wow…you are SO smart! The strawberry lemonade!!! Putting it on my to-do list!

  7. I love putting drinks in my ice cream maker. I did a similar lemonade last year and I’ve even been known to put margaritas in mine for parties. I’ll have to try the icee since I love orange soda.

  8. I just have to warn everyone. I was curious about the McDonald’s frozen strawberry lemonade and so I tried it. It was horrible. Maybe I got a bad batch but it was so gross. Don’t try the McDonald’s version and make Laura’s recipe instead.

  9. I had no idea you could do this with an ice cream maker! Wonderful! I love the strawberry lemonade idea, but doing it with crushed strawberries instead of the sauce. Yum”

  10. Fabulous! What a perfect summer treat! Definitely going to make a frozen icee drink soon!! 🙂

  11. Yum!! I had no idea. Can I do this with any ice cream maker? If this is true, it will change our lives. 🙂 Seriously.
