This Fall Harvest Snack Mix is a perfect treat for feeding a crowd, especially during the cozy autumn months! Not only is it quick to put together, but it’s also great for large gatherings, making enough to serve about 50 people. I served it for a group of 32, and we still had plenty left for snacking.

To make it allergy-friendly, I prepared the mix in stages to accommodate both gluten and nut allergies. I began by mixing only the gluten-free ingredients, ensuring one guest could enjoy this fall treat worry-free. This adaptable approach makes it easy to customize for any crowd, ensuring every guest can savor the flavors of fall in every crunchy bite.

So, to make this work, I started by mixing half of the mix together, beginning with just the gluten-free ingredients. This includes the three kinds of Boom Chicka Pop popcorn. I did a bag of real butter, kettle corn, and salted maple kettle corn. It was a great combination because it gives you that sweet and salty combo. You can add in some rice or corn Chex; I used corn. Then, I set a bag aside for the gluten-free guest.

Next, I added in the ingredients that were nut-free for my guest with that allergy. I added in some Bugles, Honeycomb cereal, pretzels, and Sixlet chocolate candies. Sixlets are nut-free. They carry them in the bulk section at my local Winco. I got them in the white and gold colors. However, if you don’t have an allergy to worry about, then I recommend M&M candies instead. I prefer it with M&M’s. So, at this point, I bagged up some of the mix for the guest with the nut allergy.

The last thing I added was candy corn and candy pumpkins. These are made in a plant that processes nuts and wheat, so they would not work for either of my allergy people. However, they are what give this mix its fall harvest look and taste. This mix was a hit, and everyone loved it. I loved the slight maple flavor you got in it from the salted maple kettle corn!

You will need a couple of large bowls or containers to stir this big batch of fall harvest snack mix together. I have a couple of 2 1/2-gallon Rubbermaid containers that work well.
