Disneyland Food 2022

by Laura

If you are headed to Disneyland any time soon, you will appreciate this post about Disneyland food 2022. My family and I just recently returned from a trip where we were able to sample some tasty items!

The key to getting food in the park at the quick service restaurants is to use the Disneyland app. You don’t want to have to stand in lines. It is much quicker and more enjoyable too to just use the app. You can place your order on you phone and then find a place to sit. When your order is ready, you will get a notification and where to pick it up.

The Jolly Holiday Bakery Café

For the Disneyland park itself, the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café on Main Street by the entrance to Frontierland is a place to hit for sure. We had some breakfast items there on day. I had a chocolate croissant for $3.99. It was fine, but would have been better if it could have been warmed. The chocolate filling was hard and cold.

My husband enjoyed a tasty breakfast sandwich. He had an egg, bacon croissant with a side if fruit for $10.99. His was really good and highly recommended. My daughter had a blueberry muffin for $4.49. It was ok. I personally think Costco has a better muffin.

The Jolly Holiday Baker Café is also tasty for lunch. I personally love the Jolly Holiday combo for $13.49. It comes with a toasted cheese sandwich with tomato bail soup. The sandwich was perfect to dip in the soup. This is also a great place to get the kids some mac and cheese. The kids meal costs $7.49 and includes a yogurt smoothie, carrots, and a drink. Even though my daughter is 18 she still wanted this. It is on the small side but perfect for a small quick lunch. We like to eat snacks at the park, so a small lunch works good.

Another tasty spot is Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland. My daughter in law ordered the Count Down Chicken Fusilli for $11.99. It includes grilled chicken with a parmesan pesto cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and shaved parmesan cheese. She loved it!

Need a snack?

As far as snacks go for Disneyland Food 2022, I love that they offer quick service places that serve fresh fruit. This is something we enjoyed for sure. We had bananas, grapes, and pineapple! I know there was a cart we hit for this in Frontierland. I can’t remember the exact location, but like I said they have them throughout the park.

Now, I can never got to Disneyland and not get a Dole Whip. These are a must! I used the app to order from the Tiki Juice bar and it was $6.49. It you want to get the seasonal swirl version, you have to stand in line for this one at The Tropical Hideaway. No mobile ordering is available here. We were not willing to wait in line for it. However, at the time they were offering the seasonal flavors of mango or watermelon to swirl along with that classic Dole Whip. I did eat the mango flavor when I was over at California Adventure and it was delicious.

Another classic treat to get in the bar is a chocolate dipped frozen banana or the Mickey shaped ice cream bar. You can get either one for just under $6. Both are cool and refreshing! These can be found through the park also.

Now the Mickey Shaped beignets are another delicious treat to enjoy. I like them for breakfast or a late night snack. We used out app to order some from the Mint Julep Bar. It’s a perfect treat to share because they come in a pack of 3 for $5.49 or 6 for $8.99. You can also get a side of caramel crème anglaise dipping sauce for $1.19 right now. However, we didn’t get it.

The Blue Bayou Restaurant

Last place I want to talk about it the Blue Bayou restaurant. This is a sit down restaurant. It the dining that you can see at the end of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. We got a reservation a head of time. I order the Monte Cristo for $29. Their Monte Cristo is amazing and the rest of may family sampled mine and agreed. If you order it here you get three slices with a salad. However, you can get the Monte Cristo also at the for $21 at Café Orleans. It comes with pommes frites (AKA fries) on the side. I have heard it only comes with 2 slices of the sandwich, but I’m not sure. I only ate 2 slices and shared my 3rd with my family.

My daughter in law ordered the Chicken Jambalaya for $36.00 and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the filet mignon and asked for it medium. As he was eating it part was good. Another part was not as it was undercooked. We didn’t want to wait for them to redo it. So he was disappointed especially since it was $52. The potatoes on the side were good. However, the sauce on them was too strong for my tastes. I would recommend asking for them on the side.

My daughter ordered the pasta with marinara sauce from the kids menu for $10. She was hesitant because she enjoys sauce with meat in it. However, she said it was delicious and didn’t miss the meat. .

One Disappointment for Disneyland Food 2022

My husband ordered a corn dog from The Red Wagon on Main Street when we were eating lunch at the Holly Jolly Bakery Café. They were not as good as we remember them being. My husband said that my corn dogs are better. I think they just have to make them in advance now and they just aren’t the same as getting them fresh. The batter was thick and heavy, not light and fluffy. They did not look or taste like to corn dogs that we had there last time. I hope this post of Disneyland Food 2022 helps you out. Check out my post about California Adventure Park tomorrow.
