I was recently asked to review the new Crock Pot Cuisine slow cooker meals. This new product offers chef inspired meals shipped right to your door. You get 4 meals that each serve 4 people for $23.99 per meal. That is at least as much as you would probably spend for one meal eating out. So, it is a great option instead of going out to eat and doesn’t require much more work.

You pick which 4 meals you want in your shipment with choices like:

  • Rustic Beef Stew
  • Sesame Ginger Chicken
  • Layered Beef Lasagna
  • Lemon Herb Chicken
Preparing the Crock Pot Cuisine meal couldn’t be easier either.

You just add the Crock Pot Cuisine meal to your Crock Pot (recommended 4 qt size) along with some water and cook on high for 4 hours, or 8 hours on low. Dinner can really be that easy. Now all you do is turn on your slow cooker and go about your day.

I already shared what I thought of the Rustic Beef Stew and today I am reviewing the Roasted Chicken & Mini Herbed Dumplings. This one was a hit with my family. They preferred it over the beef stew. They just loved the dumplings.

This meal also went a lot further than the beef stew. This could easily serve 4 with no problem. Even though both meals are the exact same weight this one had more too it. I think it was because of the dumplings.

The ingredients looked like good quality in this one too.

The meat looked like it was high quality and the frozen veggies looked like they had been fresh from the garden when they were frozen. I cooked this on low for 8 hours.

This meals was higher in calories but I was still impressed with the nutrition for this meal. If this meal was divided into 4, it is only about 312 calories per serving. All the meals are made with all natural, wholesome ingredients that are free of added preservatives and artificial flavors.

These meals aren’t something I personally would use on a regular basis, but would be great to have on occasion when life is busy and is a great alternative to eating out for my family. We went out for fast food the other night and it was right around $27 for my family and that was with using coupons. It is also much lower in calories than the meal we ate and healthier.

I also think they would be great to have on hand when you know a friend could use a meal. You could make it yourself and take it or give it to them to keep in the freezer to make on their own.
