Creamy Pesto Salad Dressing

When I was thinking about salad week, I thought it would be yummy to have some kind of creamy pesto dressing to top a Italian style salad.  This is the recipe I came up with.  I placed it on a salad that included Italian blend salad mix, diced mozzarella, canned artichoke hearts, strips of salami, olives, tomatoes, and peppers.  It was delish!  If you love pesto, you will love this creamy dressing.

Creamy Pesto Salad Dressing



  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp prepared pesto
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  1. In a bowl, whisk together all of the above ingredients.
  2. Place in the refrigerator and allow to sit for at least one hour for flavors to develop.
  3. Serve over salad.

Very enticing and healthy salad. The creamy dressing… Oh! I’ve ran out of words to describe it. I just want to make my own and enjoy it! Yum! =)

I swear Laura, sometimes I wonder if we share the same brain! I totally had a salad week planned for this week too but moved it to next week because I had too many other blog posts I had to get shared this week! This salad dressing sounds delish! And this is perfect timing because I just made a big batch of homemade pesto yesterday!
