Carolina Style Hot Dogs

by Laura

I always try and squeeze all can can out of grilling season before it ends. Change up your regular grilled hot dog by making it Carolina style hot dogs!

A Carolina style hot dog are grilled and then covered with a homemade chili and creamy cool coleslaw. You can then add some fresh diced onion and mustard too.

I prefer deli or dijon mustard over regular yellow mustard on my hot dog. I also don’t add extra onion because the coleslaw has some mixed in it.

This recipe includes a quick and easy homemade chili. It’s made with ground beef, ketchup, tomato paste, and soy sauce along with a hadful of vaious spices.

There is also a super simple coleslaw using bagged coleslaw mix along with some mayo, vinegar, sugar, canola oil, and chopped white onion. This all makes delicous Carolina style hot dogs!
