Applesauce BBQ Chicken

This applesauce bbq chicken is another tasty way to serve up chicken and it is so simple. Only a few ingredients are needed to make this.

All you need to do is mix in a few ingredients to some bottled bbq sauce to make a tasty topping for boneless skinless chicken breasts.

Even better, this is ready to eat in 20 minutes! The combination of the applesauce with the bbq sauce is the right amount of sweet and spicy.

Applesauce BBQ Chicken



  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup chunky apple sauce
  • 2/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder


  1. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with pepper.
  2. Add oil to a hot skillet and add in chicken. Cook until brown on both sides.
  3. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
  4. Cover skillet and cook for 7-10 minutes until chicken is fully cooked. Serves 4.
