St. Patrick’s Day is almost here. It is the perfect reason to feast with friends and family. With it being on Sunday this year it makes it even easier to do so. Many families have their own ways and traditions to celebrate. Today, I have some fun St. Patrick’s Day Recipes to celebrate using Hormel products.
Many of us may think of the traditional dish or corn beef and cabbage. However, it doesn’t have to be just that to celebrate. Whether your meal is breakfast, lunch, or dinner – there are many ways to celebrate. If you haven’t planned anything yet it is not too late!
Breakfast
“Green” is the official color of St. Patrick’s Day, so get creative and incorporate the color into your breakfast. Try these green egg and ham breakfast sandwiches featuring Hormel Cure 81 boneless ham, eggs, and spinach wrapped in a pita. Or go for Italian Green Eggs and Ham. These eggs get their green from the addition of some pesto on top.
Corned beef can also be served for breakfast. Use Hormel Mary Kitchen corned beef hash to make a yummy Cheesy Hash with Hormel Back Label Bacon for a restaurant-like breakfast dish. The Hormel Mary Kitchen has comes in corned beef, roast beef, or reduced fat corn beef hash varieties.
Lunch
St. Patrick’s Day is about hearty, filling meals so why not create this satisfying and nutritious Sausage and Pepper Pasta using Hormel Natural Choice spinach asiago chicken sausage. You also get that traditional “green” color in your meal with the peppers and bits of spinach in the sausage itself.
Or make a pleasing pizza with a “green” flair using Wholly Guacamole, veggies, and cheese with this California Confetti Pizza recipe
Dinner
You see many soups and stews for St. Patricks Day menu. Why not take a traditional beef stew and turn it into an ultimate roast beef sandwich using Dinty Moore stew?
You can also make a delicious Harvest Pork Roast using Hormel Always Tender roast flavored pork with some potatoes. Meat and potatoes is another comforting hearty dish to celebrate with.
Do you have any St. Patrick’s Day traditions? Is there a green-themed dish that your family loves? What are your St. Patrick’s Day Recipes?
