Spread Joy Neighbor Gift

I wanted to share with you all an easy gift that I gave my neighbors this year for Christmas. It’s a spread joy neighbor gift with cheese spread and crackers.
I made up a couple of batches of my green onion cheeseball recipe. My family prefers it not to be made into a cheese ball, but just used as a spread. So I did the same thing for my Spread Joy neighbor gifts. This cheese spread is my family’s favorite and a must have each year for Christmas. I also have a three cheese spread recipe that would also work well for this too.

Ingredients to make Green Onion Cheeseball
- CREAM CHEESE
- MAYONNAISE
- SOUR CREAM
- ONION SALT
- CELERY SALT
- DRIED DILL
- GREEN ONION
- CHEDDAR CHEESE (I recommend medium or sharp cheddar cheese)
It’s basically as easy as mixing everything in a bowl. One tip, I have found it works best to use Philadelphia brand cream cheese when making cheeseballs. It has a thicker texture. I bought a multi pack from Sam’s Club. It happens to be on a sale right now. You get 4 (8 oz) packages for $6.90.

To package up the cheese spread mixture, I purchased some 8 oz deli containers from Amazon. It was $15.95 for a package of 50. I weighed the spread with my kitchen scale so each container had 5 oz. of the cheese spread. My scale is one of my favorite kitchen tools. My recipe ended up making 9 containers worth of spread. Store the containers in the fridge until you are ready to gift them.
Printable for the Spread
I found this cute free printable from Shaken Together Life to label each of my containers of spread with. I originally was going to print them out on white cardstock and tape them on to each container.
However, I discovered I had used up all the white cardstock I had in the house. So I was digging though our closet to see what other paper we had. It ended up that we had some clear printable sticker sheets. So I decided to print the labels on that. I think they turned out even better by printing on those.

Then, I purchased a entertaining package of crackers I found at Sam’s Club. It had 12 individual sleeves of a variety of crackers for 10 dollars. Costco also has a entertaining package of crackers. Those are in individual boxes inside the box. I believe there are 4 boxes in each box. They are also bigger packages. You can also just pick up some Ritz, Town House, or Club crackers from the grocery store. Those crackers are wrapped in sleeves inside the boxes.
How I Wrapped It All Up
I put a sleeve of crackers and a tub of the cheese spread in a cellophane bag. I had some 11 x 17 inch bags already that I used. It was a little to big so I taped back one side of the bag to fit the gift better. A 9 x 15 inch sized bag would probably have been the perfect size.

I tied it all up with a little red curling ribbon and add a sticker gift tag. Share the love and flavor of the season with this delectable Christmas gift that’s sure to be appreciated. I gave it to my neighbors but it would work for family, friends, co-workers, etc.
