Today’s recipe is a twist on lasagna.  Instead of lasagna noodles and a ricotta cheese mixture we are using some good old mac and cheese.  You get the saucy meat layered in between mac and cheesy goodness to make a mac and cheese lasagna.  This is a great comfort dish as we will so be heading into Fall.

You can make your own mac and cheese to make this lasagna with. However, this recipe just uses 2 boxes of Kraft’s Thick and Creamy mac and cheese. This helps make this dish come together easily.

Then you just need to brown some beef and mix it with some spagetthis sauce. Now, it’s time toassemble the lasagna. You place half the beef mixture in the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish. Then you layer half of the macaoni and cheese on top. You repeat the layers one more time. Then you finish it off with some shredded mozzarella or provolne cheese. All you need to do know is bake it in the oven until hot and bubbly.

I’m telling you, the kids will love this dish. Just pair it with a salad or a side of your favorite vegetables.

  13. Great and easy recipe! I am a macaroni and cheese lover. If i’d be stranded in a island, that’s one of the foods that i’m going to bring with me to survive my days.

  16. I make something similar to this all the time! I call it “Poor Man’s Lasagna”. We use shells n’ cheese, ground beef, spaghetti sauce, and a shredded cheese mixture. I brown the meat and cook the shells n cheese and then simmer everything together for a few minutes. I then put it in a baking dish and add the cheese to the top. I cook it at 425 until the cheese is melted in an oven. It’s so good!
