My family LOVES pizza. We love it so much that we have it once a week! This Easy Deep Dish Pizza Casserole is another way to get your pizza fix if you are a fan like we are. This version comes together in a jiffy with the use of crescent roll dough. Then it is topped with a simple ground beef mixture and cheese. All the pizza basics!
First thing to do is brown up some ground beef with some onion and garlic in a skillet. Then drain off and excess grease.
Mix in some red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and pizza sauce. Simmer together for for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Line bottom of the pan with the crescent dough, pressing to seal seams.
Sprinkle the dough with part of the parmesan cheese. Follow with 1/2 of the meat mixture spread evenly over the crust. Then top with some of the mozzarella cheese. Top with another layer of the remaining meat mixture. Follow with another layer of parmesan cheese. Just bake at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
