In a large skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink. Drain fat.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, toss together tater tots, cooked sausage and cheeses. Pour into a lightly greased 9x13-inch pan.
In the same bowl you mixed the tater tot mixture in, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and milk. Pour over tater tot mixture. **see notes for baking instructions if you want to make ahead of time.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes, or until the eggs are set.
Notes
Once assembled you can cover and refrigerate to bake later. Because the tater tots will be thawed at this point you bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until it heats through and the eggs set.To reheat casserole after freezing, thaw completely. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake it at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until it is heated through and the eggs are set.
