Peaches and Cream Waffles combine fluffy, cinnamon-spiced waffles with fresh, juicy peach slices for a delicious breakfast treat. Topped with brown sugar and a dollop of homemade whipped cream, these waffles offer a delightful balance of sweetness and texture.
Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl and beat until soft peaks form. Place in the fridge until serving time.
Waffles
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and almond extract.
Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and whisk together just until combined. Then stir in the melted butter.
Cook batter according to your waffle maker instructions. I use 1/2 batter for my regular waffle iron and 1 cup for my Belgian waffle maker. Makes 6 regular waffles or 3 Belgian waffles.
To serve, top each waffle with peach slices and sprinkle with some of the brown sugar. Then, top of a dollop of whipped cream.
