In a large bowl, combine the beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Once mixture is combine shape into 4 patties.
In a large skillet, cook patties until brown on both sides. Remove patties from skillet and set aside.
Add mushrooms and onions to the same skillet and cook until tender.
In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix and water and pour into the skillet with the mushrooms and onions. Bring to a boil.
The add the patties back into the skillet and reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 8 minutes or until the internal temperature of the patties is 160 degrees. Serves 4.
