Easy Baked French Dip Sandwiches

  • 4 hoagie rolls or similar French style rolls
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 lb deli Roast Beef
  • 8 slices deli Provolone cheese
  • 15 ounces beef broth
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat broiler and place oven rack at the top level.
  • In a small bowl,mix the butter and garlic powder together.
  • Slice hoagie rolls in half lengthwise. Spread each side with garlic butter.
  • Place rolls on a baking sheet. Broil for 3-4 minutes until bread is toasty.
  • Heat beef broth in a small pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes. Strain garlic if desired.
  • Top the rolls meat with Provolone cheese slices. Place top halves of rolls, soft side up, on the baking sheet.
  • Broil for a few more minutes until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
  • Add tops to sandwiches. Serve with a side of au jus for dipping.
