Ingredients
1lb.flank steak sliced thinly against the grain
Marinade:
1tspsugar
⅛tspbaking soda
1Tbspsalt
1Tbspsoy sauce
1TbspMirinsweet cooking rice seasoning
1Tbspsesame oil
1tspcornstarch
1eggbeaten
Sauce:
1tspginger
½tspgarlicminced garlic
1lbbag of frozen steam-able broccoli
2Tbspoyster sauce
2Tbspwater
1tspcornstarch
1tspsugar
hot cooked rice
Instructions
In a bowl, combine all of the marinade. Add beef and toss to coat. Cover and place in the fridge. Allow to marinate for 8 hours.
Heat wok or large skillet, add a little oil to prevent to meat from cooking. Add marinated meat to the skillet along with the 1 tsp ginger and minced garlic. Stir-fry until beef is done. This should only take a few minutes.
In the meantime, steam broccoli according to package directions in the microwave. Drain.
Add broccoli to the wok along with the oyster sauce. Combine water and cornstarch and add to the wok along with 1 tsp sugar. Cook until all the meat and broccoli is well coated and mixture thicks slightly.
Serve over hot cooked rice. Serves 4-5.
Notes
Recipe should be gluten free if you use gluten free soy sauce.
