This Bacon Cheeseburger Salad has all the flavors of a classic burger without the bun. Crisp romaine is topped with seasoned ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and onions, then finished with a creamy homemade special sauce. It is a hearty, satisfying meal that works well for lunch, dinner, or easy meal prep.

For the salad:
2headsromaine lettucesliced
1 ½cupsgrape tomatoeshalved
½cuppicklesdiced, I sliced spears
8slicesbaconcooked and chopped
1cupFrench fried onions or sliced red onion
1cupcheddar cheeseshredded
Instructions
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the special sauce together. Place in the refrigerator while you prepare the rest of the salad.
In a skillet, bown the ground beef with the hamburger seasoning until the beef is fully cooked. Drain off any excess grease.
To build the salads, divide the lettuce between 4 bowls or plates. Begin topping each salad with 1/4 of each ingredient, placing them in sections or rows. Serve the salads with the prepared special sauce. Makes 4 salads.
