Simple Candied Jalapenos or Peppers

I love jalapenos, but I just can’t stand the heat. That is why is remove all the seeds before enjoying them. When I saw a recipe for simple candied jalapenos (or peppers). These are also known as cowboy candy. It seem like a great way to enjoy jalapenos without all the heat.
Now, you can totally make these to your tasting. the amount of seeds you include will adjust the amount of heat. If jalapenos are still too much for you, you can use those mini sweet mini peppers instead. They would also be so colorful.

You can used these in any way you would use a regular jalapeno, plus in other thinks that you may be scared to use fresh jalapeno in. You can use them in salsas, salads, sandwiches, nachos, etc. These candied jalapenos of a balance of sweet and heat. If you have jalapenos in your garden or just love jalapenos, then you should give these a try.

Simple Candied Jalapenos or Peppers

Ingredients
- 10 to 12 jalapenos cut into rings and amount of seeds remove as desired for the amount of heat you want
- 1 ½ cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp celery seeds
Instructions
- In a sauce pan, add all of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Be sure to stand back from the sauce pan, the fumes from the boiling jalapenos can burn you nose and eyes.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Allow to cool and pour into a glass jar with a lid. Place in the fridge and store for up to 2 weeks.
