As winter gives way to spring, it’s the perfect excuse to gather together with your loved ones. This time of year is ideal for casual brunches, so for your next midday feast with friends and family,  I took inspiration from the changing weather and created a easy new spin on a brunch/breakfast staple using Mussleman’s apple butter for easy apple butter pancakes! #AppleButterSpin

I decided to take the ordinary pancake and give it an apple butter twist. I even started with a box of complete pancake mix to make life simple. If you would rather use you own pancake recipe feel free. Just add 1/4 cup apple butter along with 1/2 tsp apple pie spice to your favorite recipe recipe for every 1 cup of flour used. You end up with a very moist and flavorful pancake!

  1. we occasionally will use it in recipes, but my favorite way to use it is as a spread on toast. I prefer that more than any other spread.

  2. I have used apple butter on my toast and in my yogurt. I would love to experiment with it in recipes like these pancakes and other baked goods. I love the flavor of apples and cinnamon!

  3. I have always liked apple butter and now it also makes me think of my Uncle Paul who would give me jars of apple butter. We lost Uncle Paul just about a year ago but apple butter makes me smile remembering him.

  4. i make an apple butter coffee cake that’s really good. i will have to make these pancakes, as my husband loves pancakes & musselman’s apple butter, so win win, thanks
