Easy Southwest Rice

long grain rice

chicken broth

Southwest corn

chopped green chiles

chili powder

cumin
¼
tsp
garlic powder
¼

dried oregano

tsp
salt
black pepper
to taste

fresh cilantro
chopped or 2 tsp dried cilantro
Instructions
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add in the rice and sauté for about 2 minutes, stir frequently.
Stir in the remaining ingredients except cilantro and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Remove for the heat and allow to sit covered for 5 minutes.
Mix in the cilantro and serve.
