This Crock Pot Orange Chicken is a simple and flavorful dish made with tender chicken slow-cooked in a tangy orange barbecue sauce. The result is a sweet and savory meal that’s perfect to serve over rice or with steamed vegetables for an easy, delicious dinner.
8Chicken thighsboneless and skinless (I only used 5, because mine were as big as chicken breasts)
3Tbspflour
⅓cuporange marmalade
⅓cupbarbecue sauce
2Tbspsoy sauce
1Tbspgrated fresh ginger root
Instructions
Toss chicken with flour in slow cooker. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or 3-4 on high.
Thirty minutes before it's done, remove the cover and turn the crock pot on high for 30 minutes. This will help thicken the sauce. If after 30 min, the sauce isn't thick enough, you can mix some cornstarch and water together and add it to the sauce.
Serve over cooked rice. You can also top with sesame seeds or green onions for garnish.
