I enjoy using vinyl lettering in my home decor. Years ago, I remember when this first showed up where I live as a way to put lettering on wooden boards used as signs or plaques in home decor. I still have some pieces from then in my house. I have one in my kitchen that says “Simplify” and one in my front room that says we may not have everything together, but together we have everything.
Shortly after that, I discovered I you could use them on the actual walls. The I got one for my kitchen that says “Bon Appetit” and one to go over my family picture that says “A Family is a gift that lasts forever”.

Recently, I was excited to find a company called WiseDecor Decorative Lettering.  They have been around for ten years and have joyfully served the needs of our customers, many of whom love cooking and want to decorate their kitchen walls with beautiful phrases and designs. WiseDecor have all kinds of designs and phases you can choose for anywhere in your home. They also quickly provide custom designs (everything is custom, actually) without any additional charge.
Recently, I painted and carpeted my family room. There was one wall as you walk down into my family room that I was looking for something to do with. I went browsing through what WiseDecor had and found the perfect thing. I found a saying that says “Family like branches on a tree, we all grow in different direction yet our roots remain as one”.
They have so many colors that you can choose to get the lettering in but I went for a basic black. It was also ready to go in 18 or 24 inches. I measured my wall and the 24 inch would fit perfectly. Cost was $32.81 plus $4.95 shipping.
Once I received it in the mail, it was simple to place on my wall. I prepared the area by cleaning it. This ensures the letters will stick to the wall. Then I measured and marked where the lettering would need to go.
I removed the backing paper and placed the lettering on the wall. Then I used the squeegee provided to rub the lettering on. It is important  to rub well.
Last I removed the transfer paper. I learned to pull it off at an angle, so that is what I did. You want to do this slowly and carefully. I also used the squeegee for any letters that were giving me trouble.
I absolutely love the way it turned out! It was completely up in about 20 minutes.
I have a WiseDecor giveaway. They have provided a $75 gift certificate for one lucky RMK reader to get their own phase, saying, recipe etc on their wall. Enter in the rafflecopter widget below.
Disclosure: I was given my vinyl lettering from WiseDecor.
