I recently was invited the the General Mills headquarters in Minneapolis Minnesota for a blogger retreat. While there I got to sample some new products from the General Mills Family. I didn’t sample everyone because there were so many, but I am sharing all that I saw. Here’s what’s new with General MIlls.
We were even issued a challenge with these new products. I hope to share with you more about that soon! They filmed the challenge so hopefully I will get to share it. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you the new products I tried.
First up is a new flavor to the Nature Valley Crunch Granola Bar line. I do love these granola bars and the new coconut flavor was delish. It was my favorite product that I sampled. It was also one of the items we used in our chopped competition.
Next was some new snacking foods. I did not get to sample the sweet potato fries, but I did sample the Food That Taste Good Brown Rice Crackers and Pita Puffs. The pesto flavored Pita Puffs were my second favorite thing that I sampled. My least favorite item was the Cinnamon Sugar Pita Puffs. The just were that great to me. The peppercorn crackers were another item we used in our chopped challenge.
There were new Old El Paso Bowls with several flavors. I can’t remember which one I tasted but it was a chicken flavor. Also, I sampled some Totino’s pizza rolls. I believe the flavor I tried was a buffalo chicken. My son will love those.
I tried both of these new refrigerated cookies. Both were great ad take their ready to bake cookies to more of a gourmet level.
There we also a love of new breakfast items. I did not sample the Sponge Bob or Cheerios Protein. However, the Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls were good, but I must admit they aren’t as tasty as the original.
There was more to add the the breakfast bar and squares out there. All were good. We also used the blueberry Fiber One bars as a third ingredient in our chopped challenge.
Last was a new Gluten Free Oatmeal. I also din’t get to try this one, but was excited to see it for all of my gluten free friends.
Disclosure: I was not compensated to review these products and my opinions are my own. However, my trip to visit General Mills Headquarters was paid for by General Mills.
