Triple Berry Syrup

This is the triple berry syrup that I highly suggest to make to go along with the weekday chocolate waffles that I shared with you yesterday.
I love berries on chocolate waffles and the more the better in my opinion. The great thing is, this all begins with some frozen berries. Just get a bag of those mixed frozen berries from the store.
My syrup actually was a quintuple berry syrup – raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. However, quintuple or even quadruple berry syrup just didn’t sound as nice as triple.
Whatever combination of mixed berries are in your bag of frozen berries, the syrup will turn out amazing! Of course, don’t forget to add some fresh whipped cream on there too!

Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen mixed berries
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- In a sauce pan, combine the berries, sugar and water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the cornstarch and stir to combine. Stir until cornstarch is combined and mixture is thick. I leave the berries whole but you can mash at this point is you don't want big pieces. Makes 2 cups.
