Mother’s Day is May 11 and did you know May 4-10 is National Teacher Appreciation Week! If you are looking for ideas for Mom for Mother’s Day or an end of year thank you gift for your child’s teacher, consider the Tastefully Simple my mug cake.

My Mug Cake allows you to make a single-serve cake in a minute. Simply fill the provided ceramic mug to the line with water, add one of Tastefully Simple’s My Mug Cake mixes and microwave for one minute. Also perfect for college students, work colleagues, or for that occasional, portion-controlled indulgence.

My Mug Cake

The My Mug Cake set retails for $19.95 and includes the ceramic mug and two Tastefully Simple cake varieties: Blueberry Streusel Cake Mix and Double Chocolate Cake Mix. I sampled both cakes and they were amazing. Both are extremely moist. I must say my favorite was the Blueberry Streusel Cake. I loved the moist cake with that sweet and sugary streusel topping.

My Mug Cake Double Chocolate

You can also purchase a three pack of the cake mixes for $9.95. Other flavors include cinnamon streusel, raspberry chocolate streusel, and celebration cake.

  1. I would give one to my mom, she loves cake but could never eat a normal sized one by herself.

  2. I would give it to my mother. She deserves a sweet treat but would appreciate the single serving portion.

  3. One for me and one for my daughter! She loves chocolate so much and has been working really hard, so she deserves a treat. And, I love blueberries and want to try it real bad.

  4. I would share them with my 91 year old aunt-godmother who loves sweets. I would get a kick out of them too for my sweet fix!

  5. I would send it to my mother in law, she would really enjoy them. Of course maybe my 91 year old father would enjoy this….he does love his sweets!
