Take Nature Valley Granola Beyond the Bowl + Quick Trail Mix

I do love a good ol’ bowl of granola when I start my day! However, granola can go beyond the bowl in the morning and can even go beyond the bowl throughout your day like in a Quick Trail Mix.

So today, I wanted to share with you 4 fun ways to mix things up using Nature Valley Protein Granola. They have many fun flavor combinations to choose from.

First up, you can still use it in the morning.

However, try mixing it into pancake batter just like in this recipe I shared a while back for Berry Granola Pancakes. Any of Nature Valley Granolas would work great this way!

You can also place the granola in your blender or food processor and blend to fine crumbs. Then use that instead of bread crumbs for an awesome meat breading! I have done this before with chicken but I am sure pork or seafood would also be tasty! Try this with the oats and honey or peanut butter flavors.

How about using it on top of your favorite salad? It adds amazing crunch and flavor. I like the oats and honey or cranberry almond variety for this.

Or you can make a fast and easy trail mix to snack on or take along with you to outdoor adventures. I like to keep some in the car, you just never know when you may need some nourishment. I take it along to watch my boys play Ultimate Frisbee. My boys can always come grab some if the need a sideline snack. This works well with any of the Nature Valley Protein Granola flavors. Just be sure that if you use the oats and dark chocolate flavor that you don’t leave it in the heat or the chocolate could get melty!

  • 1 (11 oz) pkg Nature Valley Protein Granola
  • 1 (8.75) oz container salted mixed nuts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the granola and nuts together. Enjoy!
